Welcome to the BirdCage website terms and conditions. Please read through them carefully before placing your order. By entering this site you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of use thereof. By using the site, you are agreeing to all of these terms, conditions and notices (the "Terms of Service") without modification.
Accuracy of product information
We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct. Variations in handmade, natural and patterned products should be considered to add to the beauty of a product and should no way be considered as defective.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on the website. However, as the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitors display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the product on delivery.
All sizes and measurements are approximate; however we do make every effort to ensure they are as accurate as possible. Unless otherwise stated, sizes indicated are UK sizes.
Product availability
Goods are subject to availability. As there is a delay between the time when the order is placed and the time when the order is accepted, the stock position relating to particular items may change. If an item you have ordered becomes out of stock we shall notify you as soon as possible and provide a refund if relevant.
Pricing
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order whether or not said order has been confirmed if the product is inaccurately priced on the web site due to a typographical error or any other errors. In such a case we will make you aware of this and a full refund will be given, if required. All prices are stated in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT at 17.5%
Making a purchase
By making a purchase you are offering to buy a product or service which we will accept to sell to you on the following Terms and Conditions. All requests are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price by us. BirdCage is entitled to refuse any request made by you. When making a purchase you undertake that all details you provide to us requesting goods or services are true and accurate, that you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card used to make your purchase and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to these details as soon as possible.
Payment
All card payments are authorised at the point of ordering which will require the cardholders full details including name, address and telephone number. These must match the exact details registered with the card user.
Delivery
Our site is currently only equipped to provide charges for deliveries within the UK. If you are sending outside of the UK, please email us on CustomerCare@BirdCageBoutique.com and we will provide you the charges manually.
All orders are processed as soon as is possible. Majority of orders are packaged and posted within 1 to 2 working days of receiving your online order. Orders placed after 2pm will be deemed to be placed the next working day. A working day is defined as Mon-Fri, excluding public holidays and 24th Dec-2nd Jan. We will inform you within this period if we are unable to fulfil your order for any reason.
Deliveries are sent via Royal Mail. Standard delivery refers to postage through Royal Mail  Standard Parcels service. Express delivery refers to postage through Royal Mail  First Class or Royal Mail  Special Delivery Next Day, depending on the item ordered.
We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated but as some delays are out of our control any dates we specify for delivery of goods are approximate and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay.
All deliveries must be signed for on receipt, we therefore recommend that you provide a daytime delivery address where someone will be able to sign for.
Customs clearance and import duty
We can not be held responsible for any loss, damage, costs or delays resulting from customs or excise. It is your responsibility to deal with all customs matters. Correspondence between BirdCage and customs will not be entered into unless there is a direct request from Customs.
Promotions
We continually update our online store. From time to time our boutiques may run special local promotions (which may not be available on our web site) or we may offer special discounts online that are not available in the retail stores. Some website promotions may not be available to customers in particular jurisdictions.
Internet exchange/returns policy
We guarantee to refund or exchange any product that you have purchased online that you are not completely happy with when you return it to us in saleable condition with proof of purchase (the original despatch note/returns form included in the delivery of your ordered goods) and within 14 days of receipt.
In the interests of hygiene we do not offer refunds or exchanges on pierced jewellery.
We do not offer refunds on delivery and return delivery is at your own expense.
Any monies will only be refunded once we have received and are happy with the condition of the item(s). Refunds will only be credited via your original method of payment to your original credit or debit card.
Please understand that we will not be able to carry out refunds or exchanges without proof or purchase or outside of our terms.
Our returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
Making a Return
Please check that all returned items fall within our Internet exchange/returns policy above. Items received that are not within our conditions will be returned to you, at your cost.
By Post
Fill in the returns form you received with your delivery and include it in the parcel with the item(s) that you are returning. Goods are returned to BirdCage at your own expense. Please note that when sending a return, the parcel is your responsibility until it reaches us; we strongly recommend that you send it suitably packaged and by recorded post. Always retain proof of postage.

In Person
For your convenience, you may drop off your return to any one of our boutiques, however our boutiques cannot refund sale items, these must be sent to Internet Returns.
Please ensure that you take your filled in despatch note/returns form with you as your proof of purchase.
Note that this is a drop off facility only and our boutique staff will not be able to make a refund or exchange for you immediately as this must be done online via your original payment method and our boutique staff do not have internet access.
Please make sure you obtain a proof of return from our staff.
Privacy policy
BirdCage is totally committed to protecting the privacy of our site visitors and customers. We will not disclose information about our customers to third parties except where it is a necessary part of providing a service to you - e.g. Arranging for a product to be sent to you.
We will not rent or sell your name, address, e-mail address, credit card information or personal information to any third party without your permission. If you have subscribed to our newsletters, we may occasionally update you on new products and special promotions via e-mail.
If you wish to verify the details you have submitted to BirdCage, you may do so by writing to us on Info@BirdCageBoutique.com. We will require proof of identity before we reveal information.

BirdCage shall have the right in its absolute discretion at any time and without notice to amend, remove or vary any of the content supplied in connection with this web site.

Governing law and jurisdiction
Upon entering this web site you are bound by these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are to be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and irrespective of your place of domicile, in the event of any dispute associated with these terms and conditions, that dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English High Court, London. Any dispute in any way referable to the content of this site whether in respect of its trade marks, copyright or image content shall be resolved exclusively by arbitration the terms of which are to be agreed between BirdCage and yourself and provide no right or recourse to any relief of the English Courts whether interim or otherwise and that by accessing this site you waive your right for all time to any such right.
